CROATIAN MINISTERS TO VISIT ALBANIA

ZAGREB, Aug 17 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic and Agricultural Minister Ivan Durkic will conduct a one-day official visit to Albania on Wednesday, August 18. It is expected that the Croatian delegation will speak to Albanian officials regarding further developments in bilateral relations involving economic, cultural and science cooperation. Talks will more than likely focus on the current state in the region and on stabilisation in south east Europe as well as the implementation of the Stability Pact, the Croatian Foreign Ministry reported Tuesday. Minister Granic is to meet with his Albanina counterpart Paskal Milo. He will also meet with Albanian president Rexhepi Meidani, Prime Minister Pendeli Majki and parliamentary president Skender Gjuinushi. Minister Durkic will speak with his Albanian counterpart Lufter Xhuveli. It is expected that during the visit, the Croatian and Albanian delegations will sign a protocol on cooperation between the foreign ministries of both countries. An agreement on the protection of plants and a protocol on cooperation between the agricultural ministries are also pending signing ceremonies. (hina) sp
