ZAGREB, Aug 10 (Hina) - At the beginning of this week, the number of tourists registered in Croatian summer resorts was 413,212, 13.5 per cent less than in the same period the year before, the Croatian Tourists Association (HTZ) said
Tuesday. As of last week, the number of tourists has risen by 31,171 people, or by almost ten per cent. Of the total number of tourists vacating on the Croatian coast, there are 328,316 foreign tourists, or 16 per cent less than last year. They numbers, however, have risen since last week when there were 297,851 foreign tourists in Croatia. The number of Croatian tourists has also risen in relation to last week to 84,896, but still one per cent less than in the same period last year. Most registered guests are vacating in Istria County, 152,027, or 15.7 per cent less than in 1998.(hina) lml
