KFOR REPORTS ON LATEST DEVELOPMENTS IN KOSOVO

PRISTINA, Aug 2 (Hina) - At least 450 Serbs left the Kosovo village of Vitina under Kosovo Force (KFOR) escort, KFOR officials reported in Pristina on Monday, expressing regret over their departure. Incidents in the southern Yugoslav province are continuing in the village of Gadimlje, south of Pristina, where one person was wounded in an explosion yesterday. Civilians have again been cautioned about the danger of mines. Two wounded Albanians yesterday sought help from a KFOR patrol. One of them had serious injuries while the other one had been beaten up by unidentified persons. A playground, built by the German KFOR troops, was opened this afternoon in Suva Reka, some 60 km south of Pristina. A school, reconstructed by KFOR members, was opened in Kosovska Mitrovica. Albanian sources reported that 4,500 Albanians had fled the municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovci and Medvedje in southern Serbia over the last several days, as a result of harassment by Serb paramilitaries.
