SLAVONSKI BROD, July 29 (Hina) - A heavy rain which on Thursday fell in Slavonski Brod-Posavina County caused many canals to overflow, flooding the basements of housing and economic facilities and causing damage to crops. More than 32
litres of water per one square meter fell in the area of Slavonski Brod today. A serious situation was reported in eastern parts of the county, in the villages of Novo Polje, Bukovlje, Tomica, Trnjani, and Donji Andrijevci, and in Brodski Stupnik (western part of the county). Croatian Water Management is removing the consequences of the heavy rainfall. The Alert Service also reported problems in power supply.(hina) rml
