PRISTINA, July 25 (Hina) - Senior western officials in the southern Yugoslav province of Kosovo, UN civil administrator for Kosovo Bernard Kouchner and Kosovo Force (KFOR) main commander Michael Jackson, held a press conference in
Pristina on Sunday, at which they promised saftey to all ethnic communities in Kosovo. Once again, the two officials harshly condemned the massacre of 14 Serb farmers which took place in the Kosovo's village of Staro Gracko on Friday. Jackson stressed that the international community cannot tolerate retaliation and extremism. Kauchner asked members of the Serb and Romani communities not to leave Kosovo. A Serb Orthodox priest said that the 14 farmers would be buried on Monday. According to Albanian sources, the bodies of Albanian victims, massacred by Serb forces in the villages of Lubeniqe, Lukare, and Makovce, were buried on Sunday.(hina) it
