ZAGREB, July 8 (Hina) - Former Deputy Prime Minister of the Republika Srpska Radislav Brdjanin, who was arrested by members of the NATO led Stabilisation Force in Bosnia-Herzegovina on Tuesday, will appear on July 12 before the
International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), ICTY officials reported on Thursday. The purpose of this hearing, called an "initial appearance hearing", is to ask the accused to enter a plea of guilty or not guilty on each of the counts in the indictment against him, the ICTY officials added. Brdjanin was transferred to the Detention Unit of the ICTY on Wednesday. The former Prime Minister is charged with crimes against humanity committed in a concentration camp near the northern Bosnian town of Prijedor during 1992.
