RIJEKA'S KVARNER BANK IN 1998 AMOUNTS TO US410 MILLION RIJEKA, June 29 (Hina) - The Kvarner Bank d.d. from Rijeka in 1998 realised net profit amounting to about US$410 million, with total income amounting to US$2 million, the bank's
general assembly said at a session on Tuesday. The 1998 profit is US$178,000 lower than the year before due to the reduction of bank and investment fees. The profit will be used for reinforcing the basic capital, which would amount to about US$137,000. The remaining US$249,000, which the bank has to secure in order to reach the minimum amount required by the new Law on Banks, should be secured from business activities in 1999.
