ZAGREB, June 29 (Hina) - All five Croatian union centres on Tuesday signed an agreement on a tripartite system at the national level, which determines the way of electing and tasks of union representatives in the Economic-Social
Council (GSV). The Council, in which Government members, representatives of employers and unions harmonise their interests, was not functional for a while, because it was not clear which unions would represent Croatian workers. As the agreement has been signed, the GSV should be re-established on July 1. The agreement determines that every union centre which fulfils legal conditions on representation would win at least one seat at the Council, and the internal number of unionist votes would be determined according to the number of members of every union centre.
