PRISTINA, June 29 (Hina) - The return of ethnic Albanians to Kosovo, organised by the UNHCR, is continuing on Tuesday after at least 350 refugees came back from Macedonian camps to their homes in this province in organised convoys.
The return of Albanians to towns of Pristina, Prizren and Urosevac will go on until makeshift camps in Macedonia are emptied. A spokeswoman for the UNHCR, Paola Gedini, said the spontaneous return of almost 415,000 Kosovars within two weeks since the deployment of international peace-keepers (KFOR) in Kosovo was an event which the world had not seen in the last 30 years. Gedini added that contrary to big towns, villages were still dangerous for the return as planted mines posed a threat to safety and security of returnees. (hina) ms
