reporters that the Ministry and Slavonian county prefects had almost identical views on this matter. We have begun this year's harvest under more favourable circumstances than last year, Djurkic said adding that 450,000 tonnes of wheat stocks will not be sold but are stored in the State Administration for Commodity Reserves. We deliberately tried to create a demand for wheat in the bakeries and to have a market price 10 to 15 higher than the guaranteed price of 0.75 kuna per kilogram, the Agriculture Minister said. County Prefects of Osijek-Baranja, Branimir Glavas, of Vukovar
Sirmium, Rudolf Koenig, of Slavonski Brod-Posavina, Mirko Tomac,
of Virovitica-Podravina, Djuro Decak, and of Pozega-Slavonia, Anto
Bagaric, who held the meeting with the Minister, did not want to
comment on today's talks.
