CRO RULING PARTY'S BENCH ON STATE BUDGET REVISION

ZAGREB, June 14 (Hina) - The parliamentary bench of Croatia's ruling party, the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), on Monday discussed government reports on the economic and social situation, the situation in agriculture and the health sector, which led to a discussion on a state budget revision. According to bench president Vladimir Seks, the parliament's House of Representatives will discuss the reports on Wednesday, and the budget revision on Thursday. Today's discussion tackled cuts in certain budget items. The ruling party's bench concluded that representatives from certain electoral units will establish priorities, together with county authorities and ministries, without touching upon budget items motioned by the government. Asked if the HDZ bench discussed an item which the Lower House should discuss and which is related to the activity of security services, Seks said that would have to wait awhile. Seks told reporters he did not have time to speak to Radimir Cacic, the coordinator of a group of six opposition parties, with regard to details related to the opposition's demand for a public discussion of the security and intelligence system.
