SISAK, June 10 (Hina) - A team of the Government's Commission for the Detained and Missing Persons exhumed remains of eight men from a mass grave in the Bascine Wood in Donji Hrastovac near Sunja (60 kilometres south-east of Zagreb).
The bodies were tied by wire, Sisak-Moslavina County Police reported on Thursday. The corpses were taken to the Forensic Institute in Zagreb to be identified. They are believed to have been Croatian soldiers taken captive and killed by Serb aggressors in the wood near Donji Hrastovac in autumn 1991. A body of an elderly woman was unearthed at the town cemetery in Petrinja. This corpse was also taken to the Zagreb-based Forensic Institute to be identified.(hina) ms
