ZAGREB, June 8 (Hina) - Books by two Croatian authors translated into Czech were promoted at the Croatian Embassy in Prague on Tuesday. The two books, a collection of essays Miroslav Krleza wrote on history, philosophy, and social and
political issues, entitled "Kronologija ljudske gluposti" (Chronology of Human Stupidity), and Slobodan Novak's novel "Mirisi, zlato i tamjan" (Scents, Gold and Incense), were published with assistance from the Croatian Embassy in the Czech Republic. Velimir Viskovic, editor at the "Miroslav Krleza" Institute of Lexicography, spoke about Krleza's and Novak's literary opus. The Czech translations were presented by translator Dusan Karpatsky. In attendance were publishers' representatives, eminent cultural and public figures, journalists, professors, and Croatian Studies students from Karlov University in Prague.(hina) ha jn
