ZAGREB, May 31 (Hina) - Croatian Deputy Foreign Minister Ivo Sander on Monday received Antonio Skarmeta, an eminent Chilean writer of Croatian origin, who took part at the Zagreb Literary Talks and the presentation of the Croatian
translation of his book "El Cartero de Neruda" (Neruda's Letter-Carrier). According to a statement from the Foreign Ministry, Sanader congratulated the Chilean writer on the world fame his book has achieved. Skarmeta said he was satisfied and proud of the fact that his book has been translated into Croatian. He announced a new book of stories which will bear some relation to Croatian themes. The Chilean writer was today also received by Croatian Culture Minister Bozo Biskupic. In attendance was also Chilean Ambassador to Croatia, Patrico Rodriguez Renterio.(hina) ha jn
