BELGRADE, May 23 (Hina) - A large part of Serbia has been without electric power since NATO aircraft hit thermo-electric power plants in Obrenovac with destructive shells at about 04.00 am Sunday, Radio Belgrade broadcast on Sunday.
Serbia's power industry teams are trying to remove the defect and stabilise the power supplies system in the country. Targets of the NATO bombing overnight were the airport of Batajnica, Strazevica Hill, military facilities in Rakovica and the area between Surcin and Jakov. NATO planes flew low over Belgrade after the midnight and the activities of air defence could be heard. There is no information about consequences of these attacks. Belgrade media reported that NATO had attacked Sremska Mitrovica, Vrbas and Irig, in Vojvodina last night as well.(hina) ms
