ZAGREB, May 14 (Hina) On th occasion of the Croatian Radio and Television (HRT) Day, the HRT director-general, Ivica Vrkic, on Friday laid a wreath in front of the memorial plaque in the HRT building paying tribute to reporters,
correspondents and other HRT employees who lost their lives during the Homeland War. Vrkic stressed the HRT venerated the memory of those who had given their lives for the homeland ad this TV house. The loyalty to the homeland and professionalism are really visible in all works of our killed colleagues, and that's why they had been targeted by war criminals, Vrkic said. Such criminal acts cannot erase from our memories the words of Sinisa Glavasevic and Branimir Pavlina in the besieged Vukovar, Zeljko Ruzicic in the besieged Sarajevo, films about dawns in Croatian areas made by Gordan Lederer, or in the war-stricken Osijek made by Zarko Kaic as well as by Djuro Podboj and Nikola Stoja
