security in Europe in the 21st century and challenges in south-east
Europe ended on Saturday at the International University Centre in
Dubrovnik, southern Croatia.
During the last day, participants discussed regional issues, and
the moderator at the symposium was Marijan Buconjic, an assistant
to Croatian Minister of Return and Migrant Affairs.

come to the symposium due to his busy schedule, but his report on
Bosnia and southeastern Europe was read by Amira Arifovic, an
advisor at the Foreign Ministry's Department for Peace and
Security.
The three-day meeting gathered about a hundred participants,
including representatives from 17 embassies in Croatia.
The event was organised by the Croatian Centre for Strategic
Research, the Institute of Social Sciences "Ivo Pilar" and the
European House from Zagreb.
