ZAGREB ZAGREB, April 22 (Hina) - A three-day seminar on teaching in languages of national minorities, organised by the Croatian Ministry of Education and the Council of Europe, started in Zagreb on Thursday. Along with Croatian
lecturers, the seminar is attended by experts from Hungary, Austria, Germany, Slovenia, and Russia. The participants will address problems occurring while holding classes in languages of national minorities, and exchange experiences on models used by different countries for teaching in languages of national minorities . The Croatian Minister of Education, Bozidar Pugelnik, opened the seminar. Pugelnik said the matter in Croatia was regulated by the constitutional law on human rights and rights of national minorities, and that classes and textbooks existed for Italian, Czech, Hungarian, Slovak, Serbian, Ruthenian, and Ukrainian minorities.
