KLEIN:AIM IS THAT ALL WHO WANT TO RETURN TO THEIR HOMES CAN DO SO

MOSTAR, May 5 (Hina) - A deputy of the High Representative to Bosnia-Herzegovina, Jacque Klein, said the forthcoming donors' conference for Bosnia-Herzegovina "could be the last serious conference" for this country. Taking part in a contact programme of the Mostar-based Erotel television on Tuesday night, Klein warned that upon the completion of the current events in Yugoslavia (Serbia/Montenegro) and in Kosovo, huge investments of the international community would be required. The U.S. diplomat severely criticised authorities of Sarajevo Canton because of their failure to implement a declaration on the return of Croats and Serbs to the Bosnian capital. He said he had recently forwarded a letter to Sarajevo cantonal authorities saying that if they could not realise the return of refugees to Sarajevo, they could forget the repatriation of refugees in other parts of Bosnia. Klein said he had many times met Croat politicians in Bosnia- Herzegovina who persuaded people to leave central Bosnia and move into Herzegovina promising them long-term loans. According to the American diplomat, the objective of the international community is to help everybody who would like to come back, to return to their homes. (hina) jn ms
