STARSBOURG, April 27 (Hina) - All speakers at Tuesday's session of the Council of Europe's Parliamentary Assembly supported the initiative to accelerate the process of Bosnia-Herzegovina's joining the Council of Europe.
Representatives of all political parliamentary groups spoke at the session, including Croatian representative Zdravka Busic, who also voiced Croatia's support. Commenting on High Representative for Bosnia-Herzegovina Carlos Westendorp's proposal that Bosnia join the Council of Europe once it has fulfilled only the basic conditions necessary for full-member status, the rapporteur of the commission for political issues, Peter Bloetzer, said Westendorp himself said this was a risk worth taking.
