ZAGREB, April 20 (Hina) - The Croatian Red Cross (HCK) gathered by Tuesday 100 tonnes of clothing, 2,500 pairs of footwear and 300 blankets to send to Kosovar refugees. Citizens donated more than US$4,000 to the Red Cross for the same
purpose, the HCK said in a statement. The first shipment was transported to Zadar to be sent by ship to the Albanian port of Drac. Numerous citizens answered to an appeal by the Red Cross broadcast on April 9. The Croatian Red Cross has, thus, for the first time appeared in the capacity of donator as a national association.
