ZAGREB, April 20 (Hina) - The commissioner of the 4th police station of the eastern Croatian town of Vukovar's district of Borovo Naselje, Dragisa Cancarevic, suspected of war crimes against civilians, was arrested and taken before
the Vukovar County Court on Monday evening. The County State Attorney, Biserka Trenski, confirmed the information on Tuesday. According to her, there are witnesses and evidence alleging that Cancarevic committed war crimes against civilians during the Serb occupation of Vukovar. When asked why Cancarevic's arrest took place only now, the County State Attorney said it was only now they gathered all evidence and charges were forwarded to the County State Attorney's Office.
