The head of the Catholic Church in Bosnia, Sarajevo Archbishop Vinko Puljic, told the gathering the boxes containing the remains of the 36 victims were the silent witnesses of the Croat-Muslim conflict's evil. The victims included women, the elderly and members of the Croatian Defence Council exhumed on April 8 and 9 from seven graves in Bugojno Municipality.
