ZAGREB ZAGREB, April 12 (Hina) - The Croatian Bishops' Conference opened its 18th plenary session in Zagreb on Monday, with the main topics being the preparations of the Catholic Church in Croatia for the year 2000 and the analysis of
a message Croatian bishops received from Pope John Paul II. The president of the Conference, Zagreb Archbishop Josip Bozanic, told the meeting that the president of the Croatian Caritas and Zadar Archbishop Ivan Prendja yesterday returned from Albania, to where he had escorted a shipment of humanitarian aid for Kosovo refugees. Bozanic called for a prayer for all those who are suffering under the war in Kosovo. Guests at the session are Apostolic Nuncio Giulio Einaudi and a representative of the Bishops' Conference of Bosnia-Herzegovina and Banja Luka Bishop, Franjo Komarica, who will join the session on Tuesday.
