ZAGREB, Apr 1 (Hina) - The Croatian Victimology Society on Thursday
requested the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former
Yugoslavia in The Hague to accuse Slobodan Milosevic for his
responsibility for crimes committed in Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia-
Herzegovina, and Kosovo.
"We welcome The Hague Tribunal chief prosecutor Louise Arbour's
decision to bring criminal Zeljko Raznjatovic Arkan before the
tribunal, but regret that she only announced the possibility of
accusing Milosevic as well, and only for crimes committed against
Albanians in Kosovo," society chairman Zvonimir Separovic told
reporters in Zagreb.
Reminding of Milosevic's responsibility for the suffering of
Croats during Croatia's Homeland War earlier this decade, and
especially for the destruction of the eastern Croatian town of
Vukovar, Separovic made a harsh condemnation of Milosevic's policy
of genocide.
He regretted the enormous suffering of Albanians in Kosovo which
has resulted from Milosevic's policy of ethnic cleansing.
The president of the Albanians' World Congress, Simon Kuznini,
supported NATO's action against Yugoslavia, and thanked the
military alliance for deciding to assist the Albanian people and
put an end to Milosevic's criminal policy.
Kuznini advocated the separation of Kosovo from Serbia, assessing
it was the only solution for Kosovo's ethnic Albanians.
