TUDJMAN RECEIVES FORMER B'NAI B'RITH PREISDENT

ZAGREB, Mar 5 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman on Friday received the former president of international Jewish organisation B'nai B'rith, Tommy Baer. Tudjman and Baer discussed the trial of Dinko Sakic, former commander of a concentration camp in Croatia during World War Two, who has been accused of war crimes against humanity and is to be tried in Zagreb starting March 15. According to a statement from the President's Office, Tudjman said the Sakic trial would be unbiased and objective. Tudjman reiterated democratic Croatia had condemned all crimes committed during the Ustasha regime, and pointed out Croatia had the comparatively strongest anti-fascist movement in Europe at that time. Baer said he was familiar with the force and proportion of anti-fascism in Croatia, but emphasised the facts were insufficiently pointed out to inform the entire world public as well. (hina) ha
