ZAGREB, Mar 26 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman on Friday received the chairman of the United Nations General Assembly and Uruguayan Foreign Minister Didier Opperti. During talks on UN's role in the contemporary world,
President Tudjman said countries directly affected by the breakout of the Kosovo crisis should hold a meeting. Showing understanding for the initiative given the UN's interest to prevent political and humanitarian crises from breaking out, Opperti said consultations on the meeting should be held within the UN and interested countries. Attending the meeting were also Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic, Tudjman's advisor for foreign affairs Neven Madey, and Croatia's Ambassador to the UN Ivan Simonovic.(hina) ha
