Croatian President Franjo Tudjman on Saturday received General Montgomery Meigs, the commander of the NATO-led Stabilisation Force (SFOR) in Bosnia-Herzegovina. The American general informed President Tudjman about the situation in Bosnia. Considering the attempt on the life of the Bosnian federal deputy interior minister Jozo Leutar, Gen. Meigs condemned the act and stressed SFOR would offer all necessary assistance in the investigation and discovery of its perpetrator. Tudjman said interests of the Croatian people in the Bosnian Federation must be protected by a sensible policy of the Croatpeople's representatives, the consistent implementation of the Washington and Dayton accords in conjunction with the active participation of the international community
