Croat party on Thursday decided to freeze the activity and
participation of Bosnian Croat officials in all executive and
legislative bodies of Bosnia and Bosnia's Croat-Muslim Federation
following the attempted murder of a Bosnian Croat official.
Federal President and member of the Croatian Democratic Union of
Bosnia-Herzegovina (HDZ BH) Presidency, Ivo Andric Luzanski, told
reporters in Sarajevo Bosnian Croat representatives have froze
activity at the Bosnian Assembly's House of Peoples until the
culprits in the murder attempt of federal deputy interior minister
Jozo Leutar are found and punished.
Activities in other bodies will be frozen between March 22 and 28,
Luzanski said.
The HDZ BH Presidency also demands the irrevocable resignations of
the federal premier, the federal interior minister, and the
interior minister of Central Bosnia Canton as the parties most
responsible for security in the Federation.
Bosnian Croat leaders also demand a speedier and more effective
investigation, the discovery and punishment of the culprits in the
Leutar murder attempt and in all other crimes, as well as of their
bosses.
They also demand the immediate publishing of the list of persons
accused of war crimes against Bosnian Croats, The Hague tribunal to
start criminal proceedings, and that the Agency for Investigation
and Research (AID) be abolished and removed from all Interior
Ministry premises on federal territory within ten days.
The Bosnian Croat leadership demands that the Office of the High
Representative (OHR) in Bosnia probe into how the perpetrators of
terrorist acts and other parastate institutions active in Bosnia
are financed.
The OHR is also requested to ensure living and security conditions
for Bosnian Croats officials in Bosnian and federal bodies.
