ZAGREB, March 10 (Hina) - The Croatian Constitutional Court on Wednesday rejected a request that the constitutionality of provisions of the Law Adjustment Act be investigated. The Constitutional Court established that the contentious
regulations of the Law Adjustment Act do not violate the basic principles and the highest values of Croatia's constitutional order, nor do they violate individual rights and freedoms, which are guaranteed by those provisions. Explaining its decision, the Court said that acts, decisions and legal affairs directed against the Republic of Croatia and its citizens (including acts which discriminated against certain persons, prosecuted he behaviour of displaced people and reinforced the results of ethnic cleansing) cannot be subject to the Law Adjustment Act, according to that law.
