PRISTINA, Mar 11 (Hina) - Kosovo Albanian leader Ibrahim Rugova on Thursday called on the international community to urgently intervene and put an end to the latest Serb attacks on ethnic Albanians in the south Yugoslav province.
Rugova today held talks with UN special rapporteur for human rights Jiri Dienstbier and pointed to the extremely dramatic security and humanitarian situation in Kosovo. Rugova said Serb attacks and army amassing were increasing in the south of the province, causing Albanians to flee their homes. Dienstbier said as soon as the Rambouillet agreement on a transitional solution for Kosovo was signed and applied, ethnic Albanians would have new prospects.(hina) ha
