ZAGREB, March 3 (Hina) - The independent association of journalists Forum 21 will organise the signing of a petition in four Croatian cities at the end of this week. The petition requests that Ivo Loncar be returned to his job of
editing a popular agricultural show on Croatian Television, and that the Croatian Television be transformed into a public television. "Loncar was dismissed at the request of certain officials of the ruling party, and we request that the state and party television be turned into a public television," president of Forum 21, Damir Matkovic, told a news conference on Wednesday. The petition will be available for signing in Zagreb, Rijeka, Split and Osijek on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
