PRISTINA, Feb 21 (Hina) - A police patrol on the Pristina-Vucitrn road, near the village of Velika Reka, came under an armed attack on Saturday night, the Serbian Media Centre, based in Pristina, reported on Sunday. One shell was
launched and fire from the automatic arms opened at Serbian policemen who responded to the fire. There were no casualties among policemen, the same sources said. According to the Media Centre, an ethnic Albanian, loyal to the Serbian government, was kidnapped from his home in the village of Doganovici near Kacanik on Saturday night. The family of the kidnapped Selim Topojani, the leader of the newly-established "Democratic Initiative" party, loyal to Serbian authorities, reported that the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) fighters had abducted him. The OSCE (Organisation for Security and Cooperation) Verification Mission has been notified of the case.(hina) ms
