SERBIAN POLICE SEIZE 100 TONNES OF FLOUR SENT AS AID TO KOSOVO

PRISTINA, Feb 14 (Hina) - Serbian police and market inspectors seized four lorries carrying 100 tonnes of flour three days ago, the Pristina-based humanitarian agency "Mother Theresa" reported on Sunday. Lorries with the relief aid sent by a German humanitarian organisation, "Cap Anamur", for the destitute people on Kosovo were stopped at the boundary with Kosovo and confiscated by the police. Representatives of the Pristina-based charity are trying to settle the dispute with the Serb authorities in order to dispatch as soon as possible flour to residents in dear need of the relief aid. However, their efforts have yielded no results so far. The German organisation "Cap Anamur" is willing to send another eight lorries with 200 tonnes of flour to the area, but fears that aid will be again taken by the Serbian side.
