PRISTINA, Jan 21 (Hina) - The head of the OSCE (Organisation for Security and Cooperation) verification mission, William Walker, decided to stay in Kosovo, as the mandate of his mission has not been completed yet, and the Yugoslav
authorities should comply with the agreement reached with the OSCE, OSCE spokesman Jorgen Grunnet told Thursday's issue of the Pristina-based daily "Kosova Sot". According to a decision of the Belgrade government, Walker has to leave Yugoslavia, as he accused Yugoslav military and police forces of massacring over 40 ethnic Albanian civilians in the village of Racak. According to Grunnet, it was high time Yugoslav authorities showed good will and readiness to cooperate in efforts aimed at alleviating tension in this conflict-ridden province.
