The Croatian Sabor House of Representatives on Wednesday continued the first session for the year by discussing a bill on determining the representation of union associations in tripartite bodies at the national level. An Economic and Social Council would be an approprieate forum, in which representatives of the Government, employers and unions could harmonise their views. At present, such an Economic and Social Council does not exist, and one of the pre-conditions for it to start functioning is the adoption of the bill to determine which unions will represent Croatian working people.
