MOSTAR, Jan 28 (Hina) - The Herzegovina-Neretva Canton on Thursday established a cantonal Privatisation Agency which will officially begin to operate on February 1. The said southern Bosnian canton was the only one in the Federation
of Bosnia-Herzegovina which had still not set up such an agency. In the past few months, the international community focused its insistence for one to be opened. Dragan Vrancic (Croat) was elected as president of the Board of the Agency, while his deputy is to be Ramiz Leto (Bosnian Muslim). The agency's director is to be Maid Ljubovic (Muslim) while his deputy is Mila Gadzic (Croat). The president of the board and his deputy will be replaced each three months. The head of the Mostar regional office of the High International
Representative for Bosnia-Herzegovina, Richard Ellerkmann,
pointed out he would personally see that the privatisation agency
in this canton has one account, one budget, and one seat.
As Ellerkmann added, he will not allow any parallel organisations
to exist (Muslim or Croat), alongside the privatisation agency.
