ZAGREB, Jan 26 (Hina) - The Croatian Sabor's House of Counties on Tuesday started its first session this year. With a majority vote the MPs amended the current agenda with a draft decision on the appointment of a Constitutional Court
judge, completing an 18-item agenda. The House of Counties' Judiciary, Elections, and Appointments Committee yesterday suggested that current Supreme Court president Milan Vukovic be appointed to a vacant position at the Constitutional Court. Vukovic put his function as Supreme Court president on disposal on January 23. Representatives of Opposition parliamentary benches (Social Democratic Party - SDP, Croatian Social-Liberal Party - HSLS, Croatian Peasants' Party - HSS, Liberal Party - LS) opposed the inclusion of this item in the agenda.
