OSIJEK, Jan 25 (Hina) - Three Serbs, indicted for war crimes committed against civilian population and war prisoners during the Serbian aggression on Croatia, were arrested on Saturday in Dalj, eastern Croatia. The arrested - Vaso
Gavrilovic (born in 1934), Vladimir Makivic (1935) and Dragoljub Savic (1960), all from Dalj - have been taken in preventive custody of the Osijek County Court. The decision on preventive custody was made because the three men are charged with severe war crimes, entailing prison sentences of up to 20 years, the vice president of the Osijek District Court, Antun Bukvic, told Hina. Gavrilovic, Makivic and Savic are members of the so-called Dalj group, which has 23 members. Other members of the group are still at large. Charges against the three men also include an attack on the police station in Dalj and other severe war crimes committed between July 1991 and April 19, 1992.(hi
