Union (HDZ BH) supports all efforts aimed at the full
implementation of the Dayton Agreements. At the same time, this
party intends to launch several initiatives to help bring Bosnia
closer to Western associations, HDZ BH senior officials told a news
conference in Sarajevo on Wednesday.
The party's vice president, Jadranko Prlic, said the HDZ BH would
propose to the Bosnian Ministerial Council to start negotiations on
Bosnia's bid to join the European Union and the World Trade
Organisation (WTO).
The Bosnian Moslem-Croat Federal Defence Ministry should mediate
in attempts of the Federation to join the "Partnership for Peace"
programme.
Federal Defence Minister Miroslav Prce said they could not wait for
Bosnian Serbs to reach the standards necessary for the admittance
of the entire Bosnia-Herzegovina to the western defence
structures. Therefore, he added, it was necessary that the federal
entity launch this initiative under the current circumstances.
