ZAGREB, Jan 18 (Hina) - Croatian Premier Zlatko Matesa on Monday agreed to a suggestion of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Croatia (SSSH) to resolve the debts of 'Diona', a Croatian trade company. The SSSH proposed that
to settle 'Diona's' debts, creditors should take over the company, in order to prevent any employee from losing their job in companies to which 'Diona's is debitor, SSSH president Davor Juric told reporters after a meeting with Matesa. Juric said in that case, the government too was willing to postpone its claims from 'Diona'. Juric's talks with Matesa tackled the possibility of rehabilitating 'Diona' whose debt is US$210 million, including US$113 million to food, drink, and tobacco manufacturers.(hina) ha jn
