NEW VICTIMS REPORTED AFTER SATURDAY CLASHES IN KOSOVO

PRISTINA, Jan 10 (Hina) - The situation in the southern Yugoslav +province of Kosovo was calmer on Sunday, following yesterday's +attacks in which one Serb and one Albanian were wounded, Albanian +and Serbian sources in Pristina reported on Sunday.+ However, the situation is still tense in the northern part of the +province, where members of the Verification Mission of the +Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) are +negotiating the release of eight Yugoslav army soldiers, abducted +on Friday by the Kosovo Liberation Army.+ On the night between Saturday and Sunday, a Kosovo Serb was +seriously wounded on the road Mitrovica-Pec, when he and his wife +were attacked by unidentified persons who opened machine-gun fire +on them. The Kosovo Information Centre yesterday reported the wounding of a 15-year-old Albanian during an attack of Serbian forces on Bradash, a village near Podujevo (northern Kosovo). According to the same source, eight Albanian families are blocked in Peran, another village near Podujevo, following a Serbian attack on Peran and four other villages in the same municipality.
