ZAGREB, Dec 17 (Hina) - The host of the this year's last meeting between government officials and citizens in the Croatian Government's building was Culture Minister Antun Vujic. The incumbent Croatian authorities have recently
introduced this practice of Sunday meetings. During this Sunday's tour there were about 200 visitors from all over Croatia, including two groups of secondary school pupils from the coastal town of Pula and eastern town of Slavonski Brod. Most questions which citizens raised at their meeting with Minister Vujic referred to their everyday problems and economic issues such as the debt towards pensioners, university students' problems and war veterans' status. Reporters who were present asked the minister about the future manager of the Dubrovnik Summer Festival. Vujic answered that applications for this position would be invited via the media in January. Some citizens complained that entrance tickets for theatres cost
much. Some asked about the renovation of Church facilities in the
coastal town of Sibenik and of the downtown Split.
On next two Sundays, 24 and 31 December, the Government's offices,
called 'Banski Dvori', will be closed for the public.
