ZAGREB, Dec 7 (Hina) - At the closed part of its Thursday session, which was chaired by Prime Minister Ivica Racan, the Croatian government discussed draft amendments to the final bill on Croatian Radio Television (HRT), the
government's public relations office said in a statement on Thursday evening. The proposed changes to the bill on HRT will be discussed at the next government session, reads the statement. The Government has been informed about the police investigation into the Grupo affair - the alleged association with the aim to monopolise Croatia's media space. The Government is aware that the proceedings are taking place under very difficult circumstances of a political, media and intelligence war, but it believes that even under such circumstances the bodies of state administration will carry out their duties responsibly and enable the functioning of the rule of law, reads the statement.(hi
