ZAGREB IN JAN. ZAGREB, Dec 15 (Hina) - Croatia's Council for Cooperation with UN's tribunals in the Hague agreed on Friday the prosecutor's office could interview Croatia's military chief-of-staff in January, after receiving the
explanations it requested of the office.

"The Council for Cooperation with the International Court of
Justice and the International Criminal Tribunal (ICTY) at today's
session discussed the request of (ICTY's) Prosecutor's Office to
interview the Chief-Of-Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces, General
Petar Stipetic," the government's Media and Public Relations
Service said in a statement.
"The Council is in agreement, as is General Stipetic, that the
interview be conducted in Zagreb in January 2001, after we receive
the requested explanations from the Prosecutor's Office."
Also attending the session was Prime Minister Ivica Racan, the
statement says.
General Stipetic yesterday confirmed he had received a summons from
the Hague tribunal.
