ZAGREB, Dec 14 (Hina) - According to information at hand, the turnout to the strike organised in education, science and faculties throughout Croatia is very low, vice-premier Zeljka Antunovic said Thursday afternoon. Antunovic refused
to provide details about the strike, but said the Government would have complete information by this evening. She added not one high school participated in the strike. In a statement to the press following a Government session, Antunovic thanked, on behalf of the Government, all teachers and other primary and high school employees for refusing to take part in the strike and showing a high degree of responsibility towards the children and their parents. Considering budgetary restrictions and the fact that an increase in salaries in the public sector would mean an increase of the tax burden to all citizens, we are satisfied with the high degree of understanding of teachers for the present social sit
