Representatives on Tuesday failed to endorse a motion moved by
Vladimir Seks and the Croatian Democratic Union in line with which a
night discussion on the state budget would be delayed until
tomorrow because of the importance of the topic.
On behalf of the parliamentary bench of the Croatian Christian
Democratic Union/Croatian Party of Rights, Anto Kovacevic demanded
that parliament speaker Tomcic ensures television broadcast of
tonight's session
In line with the agreement between the Croatian parliament speaker
and Croatian Television, the footage of the session will be
broadcast tomorrow.
The Lower House on Tuesday evening endorsed the third part of a
report of the State Audit Office for 1999. The House of
Representatives also ratified an agreement between Croatia and
turkey on legal assistance and endorsed a report of the Croatian
National Bank on economic and financial trends for 2000.
According to previous announcements, the Lower House will, early
Wednesday morning, most probably discuss 488 amendments to the
state budget.
