"The new leadership will try to justify the trust of the citizens
and deliver what they believed the SDP can deliver. We shall try to
justify the trust given to us at the elections," Racan, who was the
only candidate running for the position of party president, said
after the announcement of the results.
Zeljka Antunovic and Mato Arlovic won the most votes for the
positions of vice-presidents. They were also elected members of the
party presidency along with Ingrid Anticevic-Marinovic, Milan
Bandic, Mato Crkvenac, Marin Jurjevic, Slavko Linic, Sime Lucin,
Ivica Pancic, Tonino Picula and Davorko Vidovic.
The convention elected a 120-member Head Committee and an 11-member

said, both foreign and domestic guests described as excellently
organised. This is the first time electronic voting was used at a
convention in Croatia, SDP representatives said.
