ZAGREB, Nov 30 (Hina) - Austrian Energy, the Austrian branch of the Babcock Borsig Power consortium, on Thursday became the 100 percent owner of Djuro Djakovic's Thermo-Electric Power Plants (DD TEP). Austrian Energy first gained a 75
percent controlling interest in the DD TEP back in 1996. An agreement was signed during today's presentation of Babcock Borsig Power activities to Croatian and Bosnian businessmen. The 25-percent take-over will secure jobs for 300 workers as plans include the full usage of capacities as well as new investments, Claus Brinkmann, chairman of the board at Austrian Energy, said at the signing of the agreement. Djuro Djakovic chairman of the board Bartol Jerkovic said the agreement would lead cooperation with Babcock, which dates back to the 1950s, into a new, better stage.(hina) ha
