ZAGREB, Nov 28 (Hina) - Investigative judge Zdenko Konjic on Tuesday listened to the testimonies of two other former officials of the Defence Ministry in a continued trial against four suspects for war crimes in the central Bosnian
village of Ahmici in 1993. The content of their testimonies and their identities have been set as hidden, as was in the cases of two Defence Ministry officials who took the stand Monday. Tuesday's questioning of witnesses lasted three hours, and the investigation in the Ahmici case will continue in two weeks, investigative judge Konjic said. He added that subpoenas for new witnesses had been forwarded. The four suspects, Ante Sliskovic, Tomislav Vlajic, Vlado Cosic and Pasko Ljubicic have been charged with crimes in Ahmici where 116 civilians were killed and a large number of buildings destroyed on April 16, 1993. The four suspects, Ante Sliskovic, Tomislav Vlajic, Vlado Cosic and
Pasko Ljubicic have been charged with crimes in Ahmici where 116
civilians were killed and a large number of buildings destroyed on
April 16, 1993.
All four had been hiding under assumed identities in the area of
Croatia's southern city of Zadar.
At the beginning of September police apprehended two of them,
Sliskovic and Vlajic, while Ljubicic and Cosic managed to escape. A
warrant for their arrest has been issued.
